LANSING − Attorney General Mike Cox announced today that Detroit Red Wings fans are able to purchase tickets to the NHL Stanley Cup playoff games in Pittsburgh for playoff game four and -- if necessary -- game six through Ticketmaster, on their ticketexchange site.

In response to reports earlier in the week that Red Wings fans would not be allowed to purchase playoff tickets for away games in Pittsburgh, the Attorney General's Office contacted the Internet site Ticketmaster and the Pittsburgh Penguins' organization. Ticketmaster's website had a notice that sales to the event would be restricted to eight states surrounding Pennsylvania -- Michigan was not included.

At the conclusion of the discussions, Cox announced: "I'm pleased to report that I have been assured by both Ticketmaster and the Pittsburgh Penguins that tickets listed on Ticketmaster's ticketexchange website will be available to the citizens of Michigan and Red Wings fans everywhere."

            Cox concluded: "Go Wings!"
