As part of the 2009 Recovery Act, $7.2 billion is awaiting allocation to support competitive grants which will improve broadband connectivity throughout the nation. With the Recovery Act's implementation underway, it is now Michigan's chance to provide broadband connectivity to all those throughout the State of Michigan. Once these visions become a reality, it will create an entirely new playing field for our State by impacting economic activity and public sector efficiency.

To successfully bring these dollars into our State, a collaborative effort between providers and local government has been implemented. But, the success of this effort depends upon you. Whether you are a service provider, a local public official, or a Michigan citizen, this collaborative effort is a key to ensuring Michigan takes part in this nationwide recovery effort.
