Parenting Programs
Healthy Marriage and Fatherhood LogoProud Father and Proud Parents Programs
The Proud Fathers and Proud Parents programs are a part of DHS's Responsible Fatherhood and Healthy Marriage Initiatives. These programs focus on the father-child relationship development through a "nurturing" parenting style as opposed to a "fear-based" parenting style.

Founded in 1994, the National Fatherhood Initiative was created to ensure that every child has the love and support of an involved, responsible and committed father.

• Michigan Fatherhood Coalition
The Michigan Fatherhood Coalition is committed to improving the well-being of children by increasing the number of children growing up with nurturing and committed fathers. MFC assists practitioners working in the human services field to more effectively work with fathers to help them become better parents with thriving children.
