The Michigan Electrical Part 8 Rules were filed with the Secretary of State on October 1, 2009, and become effective statewide on December 2, 2009.
The Bureau has coordinated sales of 2008 National Electrical Code (NEC) with the International Code Council (ICC). Following the link below will allow customers to purchase the code book directly from ICC at the Michigan member price of $75.00.
** When purchasing the NEC on-line you must also print the Michigan Part 8 rules to assure the complete code.
A limited inventory of the 2008 National Electrical Code (NEC) will be available at the Okemos office, 2501 Woodlake Circle, Okemos, Michigan 48864 for on-site pick-up after they are printed. Customers should contact the office at 517-241-9313 to assure the books are available before traveling to the Okemos Office. The Bureau will not ship books to fill orders.
The 2008 NEC with a complete copy of the Michigan Part 8 rules may be purchased at the Okemos office at a cost of $85.00.
