DNR Offers Sale of State-Owned Land from Land Review Project

State-owned land in 23 counties is being offered for sale, as a result of the Department of Natural Resources' review of state-owned property. Counties with parcels offered for sale by sealed bid auction include Arenac, Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair and Washtenaw.

We are seeking input on two fishing issues: Increase in Lines Allowed for Fishing and Salmon Daily Bag Limits. The DNR is committed to providing consistent opportunity for anglers and continuing its efforts to simplify regulations. Neither proposal will have any negative biological impact on the state's fishery resources. They address social issues and perspectives on ways anglers may prefer to enjoy their fishing activities. Updated Draft of the Michigan State Forest Management Plan
An updated draft of the Michigan State Forest Management Plan has been posted for public review. The updated draft document incorporates revisions based upon comments received during the January 29-March 14, 2008 public review period. The plan has been scheduled as a Director's Action Item at the April 10, 2008 meeting of the Natural Resources Commission at Lansing Community College.
