The Michigan Duck Hunters Association (MDHA) coordinates the Michigan waterfowl stamp program in partnership with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. MDHA is a non-profit organization dedicated to waterfowl and wetland conservation. Proceeds from stamp sales will be used to fund MDHA projects, with 10% used to match DNR funding for purchasing wetlands.
The 2008 stamp features a pair of wood ducks (see guide cover)
painted by Dietmar Krumrey. Purchase of these collector-edition stamps is voluntary and does not replace the state waterfowl hunting license. MDHA will mail waterfowl hunters a free copy of the stamp (subject to availability) if they send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with proof of license purchase to: Michigan Duck Hunters Association, Waterfowl Stamp Program, P.O. Box 20, Midland, MI 48640.
