| Michigan Trapper Education |
|
The Wildlife Division is currently working cooperatively with state trapping organizations to develop a Michigan trapper education program. The trapper education student manual is now available for use. This manual was initially developed by the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA). It was provided by AFWA to state agencies for state-specific modifications and incorporation into state trapper education programs. The manual has been modified to reflect Michigan conditions and regulations.
Trapper education classes will be developed and announced at a later date. The DNR will be working with the state trapping organizations and other interested trappers to develop a formal training program.
