Land Classifications

Class 1: Lands identified to be retained and managed by the DNR.

Class 2: Lands available ONLY to another Governmental Agency, or Alternate Conservation Owners (ACO). If no such entity is interested in these parcels, they will remain under DNR ownership.

Class 3: Lands determined by the DNR to have very limited natural resource or public recreation value. Class 3 lands are first offered to other Governmental Agencies and ACO, before they are offered to the general public.
