PROPOSED OIL AND GAS LEASE AUCTION: Approximately 146,000 acres of state-owned mineral rights located in 16 counties are proposed to be offered for lease at an oral auction on May 1, 2008, with bidding to begin at 9 a.m. The proposed location is the Michigan Constitution Hall at 525 West Allegan Street, Lansing. Standard lease includes a five-year term with two, one-year options to extend, 1/6 royalty rate, $2 per acre annual rental for the primary term and initial $13 per acre minimum bonus consideration, which includes a $3 audit fee.
