Mackinac State Historic Parks
 • Mackinac State Historic Park Site Visits Bring your group to Mackinac State Historic Parks for a great first-hand on site experience. Bring Mackinac to your classroom! Fill out the loan form or contact us at least two weeks in advance and we will get it to your classroom. Payment is to cover shipping and handling. Teacher or school is responsible for return shipping (or bring it to the Visitor's Center when you come for a site visit). |  • Mackinac State Historic Parks Outreach Programs These hour long programs bring the Straits area and Michigan to the classroom. Experience the sights, sounds and smells that will bring you closer to the cultural and natural history of Michigan. During the fall and spring our entertaining and informative interpretive staff bring these programs to you. These programs are designed for grades three through six. |  • Military Muster at Fort Mackinac Muster your students and march them up the hill. Enlist them into the army of the 1880s. Drill and march them on the parade ground, walk the sentry beat, find out how kid's lives have changed in 100 years and learn about Mackinac history through Military Muster at Fort Mackinac! |  • History Nights at Michilimackinac Spend a night in the fort exploring colonial life in this exciting hands-on experience. March and drill as the soldiers did, make candles and bake bread over an open fire, wear a yoke to get water from the lake and learn what it took to survive on the frontier. |
