TurnHere is a new online video travel magazine revolutionizing the short travel documentary.
We are looking for smart experienced filmmakers to create 3-minute character-driven internet films about their citys most interesting
neighborhoods. The ideal filmmaker has a feel for the street and the off-beat. Knows how to find "tour guides" that can bring flavor and fun
to the screen while giving an outsider an inside look at hip hidden gems in diverse hoods. Your movie will capture the feel of the neighborhood and will be interesting for locals as well as others across the country to watch online.
If you're interested please visit http://www.turnhere.com and watch some of our films.
These are the types of quirky, interesting, character- and location-driven films we plan to make across the U.S. and soon the globe. We are open to neighborhood suggestions. This is a space to get creative, so please pitch us your ideas and join our filmmaking team!
The Terms: To work with us you must have access to a 3-chip DV camera, a good sound Package and Final Cut Pro. You must have a production background, strong interview skills, a sense of narrative (and humor.) Once we get you signed up, we will provide you with more specific tech and creative guidelines and suggestions. Also we'll provide you with location and personal releases that need to be filled out during your shoot that you'll be responsible for.
You will be paid $1000 for each approved neighborhood film you shoot, produce and edit into a compelling movie. Upon approval, your movie will be at http://www.turnhere.com for all to see!
