Whereas , The week of May 4, 2008, marks the 85^th annual observance of National Music Week; and,

Whereas , Whether studying, composing, listening, performing or participation, music enriches the human experience; and,

Whereas , The National Federation of Music Clubs through National Music Week emphasizes the joys and pleasures to be gained from making music; and now therefore be it,

Resolved , That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor of the State of Michigan, do hereby proclaim the week of May 4, 2008, as Music Week in Michigan.
