National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians

Workforce Issues Studied:

In conjunction with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians publishes the Longitudinal EMT Attributes & Demographics Study (LEADS) once a year.     

 

Research and Publications:

Several workforce studies have been published in peer-reviewed literature.  The LEADS study is available on the organization's website.  Additional workforce studies are in the early planning stages.
