April 17, 2012 - The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today said it will hold a public hearing on proposed rules that establish basic and advanced training requirements and continuing education requirements for 9-1-1 operators statewide.
To provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the proposed rule revisions, the Commission has scheduled a public hearing at 9 a.m. on May 29, at Constitution Hall, located at 525 W. Allegan, in Lansing.
In addition, any person may submit written comments regarding the proposed rules. Comments should reference Case No. U-16413 and must be received by 5 p.m. on June 19. Comments may be mailed to Executive Secretary, Michigan Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 30221, Lansing, MI 48909. Electronic comments may be emailed to email@example.com and documents, in Word or PDF format, may be attached to the email. Comments may also be submitted electronically through the Commission's E-Dockets website. All information submitted to the Commission in this matter will become public information available on the Commission's website and subject to disclosure.
