In-home care covers an array of services that are intended for adults whose functional, physical or mental limitations prevents them from caring for themselves in the home. An informal support system that might be available to assist these adults is either unavailable or insufficient to provide care.
Priority for the provision of in home service is based on a person's social, functional and economic need. Services are provided to eligible adults based upon an assessment. Periodic reassessments are also conducted to determine continuing levels of functionality and need.
