Lt. Governor John Cherry visited several communities in the central Upper Peninsula, on his way to participate in activities related to the U.P. 200 sled dog race.

The U.P. 200 is a competitive, 12 dog, sled dog race. The race is approximately 240 miles in length and is a qualifying race for Iditarod.
