Select Michigan for Last Minute Gifts

Need a gift for an upcoming occasion?  Why not create a special gift basket filled with the bounty of Michigan’s food and agriculture industry? Whether you need a hostess gift, a gift for a teacher, or a last-minute gift for that hard-to-buy-for friend, you can find Michigan products to fit the bill.

We have assembled a few Michigan basket ideas filled with things you can purchase at your local store.  There are also farm markets, retail stores and gift shops across the state that will create Michigan gift baskets for you.  And, there are several places online that can prepare gift boxes and ship them, and if you shop soon, many can still get them there before Christmas.

Why Buy Local?
Besides the obvious reasons of great taste and freshness when you buy locally, buying Michigan made food and agriculture products helps keep our dollars circulating here in Michigan, supports our state’s farmers and local communities, and helps preserve farmland by keeping farming an economically viable option for our farmers.

Select Michigan - it’s good for you, our growers, and the local economy!

Michigan Holiday Snack Bowl
During the holidays, many family traditions include gathering around the TV for a bowl game.  This our version of the “Holiday Bowl.”  Michigan companies produce a variety of snack foods from pretzels and cheese curls to chips, salsas and more.  For this basket, we have included:

Better Made Potato Chips - Detroit  (Voted "Best Potato Chip" 2008 by Maxim Magazine and Best Salt and Vinegar chips - 2007 by Rachael Ray.)
