Traumatic Brain Injury and Public Services in Michigan

This free online training course is intended for public agency service providers - or anyone who serves people with brain injury. The curriculum consists of four modules requiring about 45 minutes each to complete:

Significance of TBI and introductory information on how the brain works,

Common physical, behavioral and cognitive impairments and interaction strategies,

Screening for a history of TBI, and
-
Public services available for eligible persons with TBI.
The training is self-paced, and can be completed over the course of multiple sittings. In addition, the site provides an extensive resource list and a glossary of terms. Continuing education credits are available for nursing, social work, and public education professionals.
