The purpose of the Council is to advise the Michigan Department of Community Health on policy issues related to Medicaid. In addition, the Council is involved with the issues of access to care, quality of care, and service delivery for managed care and fee for service programs.
The Medical Care Advisory Council consists of members who represent consumers and consumer advocates, health care providers, and the community.
