• Digitization for Preservation and Access (DPA) Grants
The Digitization for Preservation and Access grant program was a statewide effort to digitize valuable and significant local and state-related information held in Michigan libraries and make such resources easily available via the Michigan eLibrary (MeL) . It was funded by a FY 2005 allocation to the Library of Michigan from the Michigan Legislature. Ten projects were granted funding. • LSTA Grant awards for Michigan Libraries
The Library of Michigan distributes federal funds received under the Museum and Library Services Act of 2003, incorporating the Library Services and Technology Act of 1996 (LSTA), to support statewide initiatives and competitive grant programs. Through the legislation, the Institute for Museum and Library Services, an independent federal agency, provides grants to State Library Administrative Agencies to improve and support library, museum and information services.

The Center's grant program provides a limited number of small grants for literary events in public libraries, schools or non-profits.
