Contact:  Kari Arend, MDOT Office of Communications, 517-206-1609
Agency: Transportation

COUNTY: Livingston

HIGHWAY: Hartland Road off M-59

CLOSEST CITY: Hartland

REOPEN DATE: Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009

PROJECT: Starting this weekend, Hartland Road near M-59 is scheduled to reopen. Hartland Road was relocated this summer as part of a larger project to build a large new development near M-59 and US-23.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: When Hartland Road reopens, traffic at M-59 will be maintained under a temporary stop control condition until the new signal is activated. Southbound Hartland Road will have dual right only lanes onto M-59. In addition, there will be a turnaround at Blaine Road for vehicles wishing to go eastbound on M-59.

The new signal at M-59 and Hartland Road is expected to be active in approximately three weeks. In the interim, there will be temporary stop and stop ahead signs placed on Hartland Road.

MDOT: Working to improve our state roads and bridges.
