Start: July 2009 End: November 2009 (Stages I & II)
What we are doing:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is reconfiguring the M-46/M-37 intersection into a roundabout. Additional work at the intersection will include grade changes, drainage improvements, and lighting upgrades.
In addition, M-37 will be resurfaced from M-46 north to Moon Road, including drainage improvements, safety upgrades, and vertical curve corrections.
Stages I & II will be completed between July - November of 2009. Stage III will be completed in May of 2010.
Stage I
- M-37 will be closed to through-traffic
from M-46 north to Bailey Road.
- Northbound and southbound M-37 traffic will be detoured via Bailey Road, Canada Road, and M-46.
- Eastbound and westbound M-46 traffic
will not be detoured.
Stage II
- M-46 will be closed to through-traffic
from M-37 west to Canada Road.
- Eastbound and westbound M-46 traffic will
be detoured via Canada Road, Bailey Road, and M-37.
- Northbound and southbound M-37 traffic
will not be detoured.
- In addition, Newaygo Road will be closed to through-traffic from Laketon Avenue to M-46.
Stage III
- Final paving for the entire project to be completed during May 2010. Motorists will
be provided detour information in advance
of this work.
