I-94 Road and Bridge Project, Macomb County
How traffic is affected
  • Two lanes of I-94 will be maintained in each direction during peak travel periods (5 a.m. - 8 p.m. on weekdays).

  • I-94 may be reduced to a single lane during off-peak hours (8 p.m. - 5 a.m. on weekdays, and 8 p.m. on Fridays until 5 a.m. on Mondays).

  • Motorists should consider using M-3 (Gratiot Avenue) or M-97 (Groesbeck Avenue) to avoid delays.

  • Resurfacing more than 11 miles of eastbound and westbound I-94 between Masonic Blvd in St. Clair Shores and M-29 (23 Mile Road) in Chesterfield Township
  • Constructing a concrete median barrier between North River Road and M-59
  • Rehabilitating 10 bridges
