How to Apply for a Job at MDOT

View the MDOT job postings and if you qualify for one of the postings and would like to apply...
  1. Get Application Form
  2. Fill out the application form. You can download the online version, print and fill it out or you can complete it online.
  3. Prepare and attach your resume and transcripts if requested.
  4. Write a cover letter stating which position you are interested in.
  5. Mail your completed application packet to:

    Office of Human Resources
    Classifications and Selections Unit
    P.O. Box 30050, Lansing, MI, 48909

    OR FAX your application to: 517-373-8214

Your application MUST be received BEFORE the deadline date that is posted on the listing.

Application Note: All applicants must submit a copy of official college transcripts (if college degree is required), and an MDOT employment application (resume is optional). All required forms must be submitted on the closing day of the posting to continue in the selection process.
