Students eligible for a Michigan Promise scholarship final payment must
complete a "Michigan Promise Scholarship Application for Final Payment"
form. In addition to meeting all other program requirements, to be eligible to
apply for a final payment, students must have successfully completed two years
of postsecondary education (associate degree, two-year certificate, vocational
education program or 50% of the academic requirements for a bachelor's degree
with at least a 2.5 grade point average) at an eligible Michigan institution.
Students must begin their postsecondary enrollment within two years of high
school graduation. They then must utilize all installment funds within four
years of initial enrollment. In addition, students must apply for their final
payment no later than November 15 in the academic year following their last year
of eligibility. The various enrollment, academic, and final payment deadlines
are detailed in the eligibility chart.
NOTE: Students graduating from a high school program with both
a high school diploma and an associate degree may
apply for final payment.
