Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship

Funding is not currently provided for the Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship and no new awards are being made.

The Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship was a federally funded program administered by the state of Michigan, Student Scholarships and Grants (SSG) Division. The merit-based program was established to promote student excellence and achievement and to recognize exceptional students who show promise of continued excellence.

The program funding was eliminated in the FY 2012 federal budget. In addition, current students will NOT be funded for additional years.

The state of Michigan will use residual funds to maintain funding for the 2011-12 academic year for COLLEGE SENIORS only!
