Housing and Community Development Ambassador Program

Sample Iframe
The Housing and Community Development Ambassador Program

We can build public support for policies aimed at addressing affordable housing, community development and homelessness issues through a comprehensive public awareness campaign.
What is the Ambassador Program?

The Ambassador Program is a public outreach program designed to work with motivated volunteers across the state to spread the word regarding Michigan's Affordable Housing, Community Development, and Homelessness initatives.
Key Priorities
  • Ending Homelessness
  • Homeownership
  • Community Development, Neighborhood Revitalization and Land Use
  • Rental Housing
  • Supportive Housing
What is the role of an Ambassador?
Speaking As One Community...
Ambassadors will build a solid foundation of support for the policies and programs that address these pressing issues by...
  • Generating ambassadorship for housing that supports our ability to create more affordable housing
  • Uniting and advancing together to promote and advance affordable housing, and economic and community development
  • Improving people's lives
  • Advocating as a statewide community - Taking Care of Our Own

As an Ambassador, you will bring pertinent information to the forefront that affects Michigan's citizens.

The Ambassador Program is a unique opportunity for community residents to partner with others interested in improving the lives of Michigan residents, because it is simply the right thing to do!
How to become an Ambassador?

If you are interested in becoming an Ambassador, please complete and submit the "Ambassador Sign-up Form". Ambassador Workshops will provide program participants with the information, training and tools necessary to educate the public on Michigan's issues. Ambassadors are asked to speak at a minimum of two forums annually. A forum may be a meeting and/or event where the Ambassador already plans to be in attendance.
