May 8, 2008 - Police Seek Identification of John Doe

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on May 6, Michigan State Police (MSP) investigators responded to the south shoreline (Boomerang Road) of the Detroit Edison Fermi 2 Power Plant at 6400 N. Dixie Highway in Newport to investigate the report of a body that had washed up on the shore.

The decedent did not have any identification and has yet to be identified.  The decedent is an adult male, approximately 6' 5", found wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt, two dark colored t-shirts, Guess-brand blue jeans with a brown leather belt and a pair of size 12 Adidas running shoes.

Anyone with information that may lead to the identification of this individual is asked to contact the MSP Monroe Post at (734) 242-3500.
