STING is a multijurisdictional narcotics team that operates in a six county area. The jurisdictions serviced by STING are: Crawford, Iosco, Ogemaw, Oscoda, and Roscommon Counties and the City of AuGres. Participating agencies include: Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, Michigan National Guard, Ogemaw County Sheriff’s Department, Ogemaw County Prosecutor’s Office, Roscommon County Sheriff’s Department, Oscoda Township Police Department of Iosco County with support from City of Tawas City, City of East Tawas, Village of Whittemore; AuSable, Plainfield, Burleigh and Reno Townships, West Branch Police Department and Michigan State Police.
