Preretirement Seminars
|
Running time: Approximately 2 hours
|
|
If you are
within four years from retirement, you may want to attend a Preretirement
Information Meeting (PRIM).
Click on a
region of the Michigan
map to see a list of PRIMs in your area. If the meeting is available, you will
see a registration link in the left column. Preregistration is required to
assure we have enough seats and materials.
We will be
adding PRIMs as we go through the season, so check back often. Sometimes PRIMs
requested by employers may be opened to the public so that anyone can register.
We also
offer PRIMs by webinar. You would need a computer and a high speed internet
connection to take advantage of these convenient online meetings.
A PRIM
lasts about two-hours and is an opportunity for you to learn more about your
retirement plan so you can make informed decisions about your future. Topics
include:
-
Earning and purchasing service credit
-
Eligibility requirements
-
Calculating retirement benefits
-
Insurance coverage
-
Questions and answers
Note:
If the facility is closed due to inclement weather or for any other reason, the
meeting is canceled.
