Family Independence AgencyThe Michigan Department of Human Services
Whether seeking assistance for food, housing, health care, child support or other needs, DHS offers a number of program to put people on the road to self-sufficiency. Contact your local county office to apply for help.

Michigan's 30 community action agencies provide human service programs in all 83 counties, including Head Start, weatherization, senior services, and employment and training. They can provide referrals to other community resources.
