- Ask Eric - ERIC is the world's largest source of education information, with more than 1 million abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice
- FirstGov - search more than 51 million web pages from federal and state governments, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories. Most of these pages are not available on commercial websites
- Google - a good general starting point for research. Although the information you will find is not reviewed for it's accuracy or reliability.
Google's Government Search - an excellent gateway for location state and federal government documents about any topic, including school safety issues
- Librarian's Index to the Internet - an excellent tool for researching all types of topics, including education and school safety. Maintained by the Library of California
School Violence Resources from the Librarian's Index to the Internet
- MeL (Michigan eLibrary) - a well developed research tool, with web sites that are reviewed by librarians. Also includes access to full text magazine and reference databases which are free for Michigan residents and not available elsewhere on the Internet.
