PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin pavement repairs on nearly two miles of US-23, beginning Friday, July 11. This project, on north- and southbound lanes of US-23 in the city of Fenton, extends from Owens Road (Exit 78) to North Torrey Road (Exit 80). Crews will begin work on southbound lanes Friday, July 11. Once southbound paving is completed, work on northbound lanes will start Saturday, July 26. Weather permitting, this project is expected to be completed by Monday, Aug. 25.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: Work will be allowed on weekends only from Friday to Sunday. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times. Portable message boards are in place to alert motorists that crews are working on weekends only.
