Maybury State Park Hosts 'GO-Get Outdoors' History Hikes

Maybury State Park will host two interpretive hikes on its history trail and that will explore the former Maybury Sanatorium.

The hikes will be held on Sunday, July 13, and Sunday, Aug. 17, beginning at 11 a.m. The hikes are free. Participants should meet at the history kiosk and arch off the park's Eight Mile Road entrance.

For more information about these events, contact Maybury State Park at (248) 349-8390. Maybury State Park is located at 20145 Beck Rd. in Northville.

All motor vehicles entering a state park or recreation area must display a Motor Vehicle Permit, available for purchase at the park entrance. Cost is $24 for a resident annual and $6 for a resident daily. A nonresident annual is $29 and a nonresident daily is $8.

The DNR is committed to the conservation, protection, management, use and enjoyment of the state's natural resources
for current and future generations.
