| Great Lakes Splendor Plate |
Commonly referred to as the "Splendor plate" or the "bridge plate," the Great Lakes Splendor plate features a rising sun over the blue Straights of Mackinac with the mighty Mackinac Bridge in the background. Created as a result of a license plate design contest in 1996, this successful plate's 10-year run has come to an end. Original plates are no longer issued. However, residents with valid bridge plates may continue to renew them.
