Subject: Individual Income Tax e-file Payment Reminder Letters

The Michigan Department of Treasury is mailing about 68,000 Payment Reminder letters to income tax e-filers who have not yet submitted their payments for tax year 2007. No penalty or interest is included in the payment amount as tax is not due until April 15, 2008.

The letter includes a detachable 2007 Michigan e-file Payment Voucher MI-1040-V, which is pre-identified with the taxpayer's name(s), address, Social Security number(s) and payment amount.
