FAQ
  Individual Income Tax
Does the State of Michigan have a form comparable to the U.S. 1041 (Income Tax Return for Estates and Trusts)? When do I need to file and what is the tax rate?

Answer:
The State of Michigan does have a MI-1041 form, (Michigan Fiduciary Income Tax Return). This return must be filed if a U.S.1041 has been filed even if there is no Michigan income tax due. For the 2007 tax year, the tax rate for the fiduciary filers is 4.01%.

Current and prior year Michigan tax forms may be obtained by one of the following methods 24 hours a day 7 days a week: Downloading the desired form from this web site or by calling 1-800-367-6263 and placing your request. Please allow 30 days for forms to be mailed.
