You may request your financial institution to trace the deposit if you have the exact dollar amount and date of the deposit. If the financial institution cannot locate your refund, you may request a Direct Deposit trace through the Michigan Department of Treasury. Please allow 30 days from the initial date of deposit before a Direct Deposit trace request is made to the Michigan Department of Treasury. A trace can take up to 90 days. We will notify you of the results. If you have moved since the filing of your return, please update your address by using the Check My Income Tax Info on our Web site.

From the Check My Income Tax Info Web site:

1. Select the option "Change my address" button on the next page and follow the directions.
2. After verification of your shared secrets, choose the appropriate link "Change my address".
3. You will be asked to enter the tax year, your adjusted gross income/household income and filing status. Follow the directions given on the next page to request an address change.

Include your name, social security number, old address and new address information.
