There is no fee required to apply to the Michigan Department of Treasury for a credit of $1 million or less. However, there is a fee required when applying to MEGA for a credit of over $1 million, as follows:

1. An Application Fee for the Brownfield Redevelopment Credit Preapproval Application of $5,000.00 to be collected prior to consideration of an award by the MEGA, and
2. An Administrative Fee of 1/2 of 1 percent to the amount of the pre-approved credit amount, one half to be collected at the time the pre-approval letter is issued, and the balance to be collected one year after the date of the pre-approval letter. No Administrative Fee shall exceed $100,000.00.
