Kimbal R. Smith III
At Large Member

Kimbal R. Smith III is a member of the Michigan State Bar having graduated in 1968 from the Detroit College of Law. From 2001 to 2005, Kimbal served as a Member of the Michigan Tax Tribunal. His experience prior to his tenure at the Tax Tribunal included acting as Deputy State Treasurer of Michigan, City Attorney for the City of Ionia, member of the Michigan Municipal Bond Authority and an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Thomas Cooley Law School. He was most recently employed by Hoffert & Associates P.C. representing property owners in tax disputes.

Appointment expires June 30, 2011.
