2008-2011 Mandatory Six-Hour Renewal Programs

The State Assessors Board has partnered with the Michigan Assessors Association (MAA) to provide the quizzes for the 2008-2011 mandatory six-hour renewal programs on the MAA Website. Offering the quizzes on the Internet is an enhancement in service to assessing officers and results in administrative efficiencies for the staff serving the State Assessors Board. The State Assessors Board is thankful for the cooperation of the MAA in hosting these quizzes.

For those assessing officers who have attended a classroom-style renewal session and need to take the quiz for the program that was attended, simply go to the MAA Website and take the quiz. The quizzes for all three mandatory renewal programs can be accessed using the following link:

MAA/State Assessors Board Quiz Portal

To take a quiz, assessing officers will need their certification number and the last six digits of their driver's license number. Notification of quiz results will be provided immediately after submitting the quiz. Those who are not initially successful in taking a quiz will need to take the quiz again until it is passed. Although State Assessors Board staff will be notified by email of all quiz results, it is suggested for those who successfully complete the quiz that they print and retain the results notification page. Credit for successful quizzes will be posted to the Board's Website within two weeks of the date the quiz was taken.

The links provided below can be used to access a hard copy of the mandatory quiz for each of the 2008-2011 certification renewal programs. Some assessing officers may find it easier to complete a quiz using a hard copy and then transfer the answers to the on-line quiz. Below are links to hard copies of the three mandatory renewal program quizzes:

Additionally, this page contains Internet versions of the 2008-2011 mandatory six-hour renewal programs. These Internet versions can be used to fulfill the 2008-2011 mandatory renewal requirements established by the State Assessors Board. The Internet versions of the renewal programs consist of the course materials in a PDF file for each program. Below are links to the course materials for each of the mandatory renewal programs:

To fulfill the renewal requirement for each of the mandatory renewal programs using the Internet versions of the programs, an assessing officer must successfully complete the mandatory quiz for the program (i.e., achieve a passing quiz grade of 70 percent or higher). The link to the MAA/State Assessors Board quiz portal provided above can be used to access the quizzes for the mandatory renewal programs.

Input regarding the on-line quizzes or the Internet versions of the mandatory renewal programs is welcome. Questions or comments on these subjects may be sent to State-Assessors-Board@michigan.gov.
